1999 Caped Cod Open Flying Disc Festival

Saturday, October 2nd, 1999 Burgess Park in Marstons Mills
Synopsis: Four divisions played from the white tees; Men's novice, Women's novice, Junior's 13-16,and Juniors 12 and under. The amazing Wesley Hartwell (JR-12 & under) beat them all with a two round toatal of 106. Best combined two rounds: Jason Southwick with a 96. Hottest round from the long tees: Jim O'Hara with a 46. Best Safari rounds: Dave and Dave (Redlund and Balkema) with 24 each (-3). Largest margin of victory (other than the amazing Wesley) was Kate Cason with a sizzling nine strokes in the Women's Division. Percentage of Juniors receiving votes in our "Way Cool Junior Sportsmanship Award" competition = 100%. Way to go juniors; and many thanks to your parents for setting a good example. Percentage of Juniors winning awards or prizes at 1999 CCO = 100%. Percentage of people who stayed around for the awards that went home empty handed = 0%. 80 players participated, 22 of them from Cape Cod. We had the largest turnout of open women (8) at a NEFA points event this year and had another 4 women in the novice division. More fun tidbits to follow...
